Joris Voorn

Joris Voorn is right at the epicentre of the Dutch music scene! He is the embodiment of modern art and technology. In 2016, not a lot of people could deny that Joris, with some other artists, defined the underground scene of Amsterdam and turned it into techno’s hotspot. His music taste travelled at first from indie music to Rob Zombie and finally to dance music thanks to the likes of The Prodigy and Underworld.

He received international recognition after his “Muted Trax” track climbed the charts, upon which came his universally recognized “Incident” single that could be heard in all the clubs that summer, from The Sub Club to Circo Loco, and which found its place in sets by Carl Cox, Derrick May and Laurent Garnier. His last album, “Nobody Knows” was voted as best electronic album of 2014 by Billboard. He co-founded two labels, Green and Rejected and also became the resident at two key clubs on Ibiza in 2016 – “Ushaia”, together with Maya Jones and Kolsch and “Space”, with Paco Osuna and Groove Armada. His latest EP “I Ran The Zoo” garnered universally positive reviews from critics. Outside of Ibiza, Joris is a regular at globally famous clubs such as Fabric, Output, Fuse, etc. As far as festivals are concerned, Voorn has a long-term relationship with the Awakenings Festival in his native Netherlands, while he can be found driving the audiences crazy at festivals such as Ultra, Parklife, BPM and many others.
